SPECIAL TO AUCTION: Early (1863) Henry .44 Henry RF rifle on brass frame. Serial number 1866 found on top of barrel flat between rear sight and receiver, heel of butt plate, lower tang and shanks of three screws. The letter W is found on the exterior of lower tang. Receiver screws are excellent and has an alternate rear sight dovetail. New Haven address with Oct. 16, 1860 pat. date on barrel. Sling swivels are located on left side of rifle on barrel and stock. Sights are correct. Brass receiver and barrel have great patina w/ no indication of being cleaned. Rifle is mechanically sound w/ very minor chip on toe of the stock.
